Qualifications:
*Graduate of an accredited law school and a member of the Texas Bar Association
*5+ years of experience as an attorney with an emphasis in Appellate Litigation
*Knowledgeable of legal principles, practices and proceedings
*Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, etc.)
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
*Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a litigation team
*Strong organizational, reasoning and research skills
*Strong attention to details

Ideal candidate will have at least two to three years of litigation experience in the field of personal injury. Associate Attorney will be responsible for assisting with the litigation docket, helping with negotiations pre-litigation, and client handling. Associate Attorney must be comfortable with litigation, from filing to trial. First chair trial experience on at least a handful of cases is required. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a passion for client satisfaction and a proven drive to succeed and produce.Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree (i.e. JD)
- Texas State Bar licensed
- 2-3 years Plaintiff's personal injury experience
- Results oriented, self-starter, with a high level of initiative
- Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must manage highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity
- Ability and willingness to "hit the ground running"

The legal work that is expected and already completed and accomplished includes the items listed below.1. Litigation experience;
2. Taken many fact and expert witness depositions;
3. Prepared for and attended mediations;
4. Appeared before various courts/judges handling and presenting arguments for and against various motions filed by you and respond to those filed against our clients;
5. Prepared and filed a multitude of normal insurance defense practice motions including MSJ’s;
6. Second chaired trial(s);
7. First chair trial experience is a bonus;
8. Able to handle files from beginning to end,
9. Able to support partners on their files including various projects related to their cases;
10. Will work independently, as well as part of a defense team;
11. Your goal is to bill 180 hours a month;
12. Strong legal research and writing skills required;
13. Be a self-starter; and
14. Be proactive.
