Description

The Application Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications in support of enterprise related business processes. Works with user departments to find solutions to problems with existing software and to design and create new applications. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires the evaluation of identifiable factors. Position demonstrates sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions while networking with senior internal and external resources.

• Knowledge of EDI processes
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of varied programming codes including Visual Basic, Groovy, and C# for code diagnosis and correction
• Knowledge of Crystal and Hubble/Insight reporting tools
• Knowledge of JD Edwards Object Management Workbench (OMW) programming tools.
• Knowledge of Oracle business service tools and/or Electronic File Transfer protocols and the tools which support them
• Knowledge of XML based Interfaces, Service Bus and ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) skills.
• Knowledge of interfaces and the middleware required to develop them
• Ability to use database query tools
• Ability to think logically
• Ability to use multiple programming tools (XML, C# & ASP.NET mandatory)

GIS Specialist - Contract

Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field; 3-5 years of experience as a GIS Specialist
• Working knowledge of property surveys, deeds, property tax records, and engineering plans
• Knowledge of spatial analysis skills and developing GIS models
• Knowledge of ArcMap and CAD software and extensions including (spatial analysis, 3D analyst, ArcInfo, Explorer, etc.)
• Knowledge or ESRI Web Portal and WebApps functionality
• Comfortable working with large databases
• Must be willing to interact with all departments of the company (environmental, engineering / construction, meteorology, land) and willingness to learn more about these areas and how GIS applications can aid in all departments
• Great verbal, written, organizational skills with willingness to be an independent worker

Description

This contract position will be responsible for creating, organizing, and managing GIS project databases that support meteorology, construction, land, and legal. The job will mostly consist of uploading and maintaining our existing GIS server database as well as generating project maps for interested parties within the company. Some spatial analysis and involvement with ESRI Web Portal will be required.

Duties
• Upload and organize GIS data as per established directory structure
• Effectively document work completed
• Update land lease information through legal description analysis and creating polygons if necessary
• Support regular project GIS infrastructure updates, map generation, and upload to Web Portal if necessary
• Perform spatial analysis through existing software tool
• Work with and educate existing GIS users in the company
• Be available for training sessions to ensure proper handoff of roles and responsibilities

Learning and Development Specialist

• Three to five years’ experience presenting technology training and supporting technology for end users in a legal or other professional service organization preferred
• Experience training the following types of applications:
o Word processing, email and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office 2016 preferred)
o Document management systems (Autonomy iManage preferred)
o Document comparison tools (e.g., WorkShare Compare, ChangePro)
o Time entry (e.g., Aderant Expert, Carpe Diem, DTE)
o VoIP telephone and voicemail systems (Cisco preferred)
o Mobile technologies (iPad and iPhone and Surface tablet preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently, when necessary
• Carry a Firm-provided mobile communications device and be available outside normal working hours

Description

Law firm is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to join their team. Learning and Development Specialist should be confident presenting one-on-one training, addressing large groups during conference room demonstrations, and facilitating hands-on training in the computer training room. He or she should also be experienced supporting technology for end users in a professional office environment. E-Learning experience is very important in this position.
It is important that a Learning and Development Specialist be self-motivated, understand how adults learn new technology, and can write and speak about complex technical concepts in a clear, concise way. A Learning and Development Specialist should demonstrate above-average attention to detail and pride in his or her work product. The ability to effectively estimate the time needed to complete common training tasks and successfully manage time to meet deadlines is vital in this position.

Course Developer
• Determine appropriate topics for courses, based on learner needs
• Write course outlines, incorporating practice exercises to support learner retention
• Collaborate with Learning and Development team members to gather and incorporate their feedback into the course design
o Use Adobe Captivate, Adobe Presenter or other eLearning development applications to record processes and add narration, including creating storyboards and narration scripts
• Explain concepts using clear and concise language in end-user reference materials such as quick reference guides and tech tips

Presenter
• Deliver instructor-led local, online and remote classes, demonstrations and other presentations for the firm’s learners
• Communicate technical information in a logical, organized and concise manner
• Use demonstratives such as PowerPoint presentations, charts or handouts to improve learner retention
o Present training for Learning and Development team members to help them prepare to present new courses
o Attend attorney practice group meetings to learn about their unique business needs and technology issues, and deliver training
• Communicate with practice group leaders to provide news and information about upcoming technology changes and improvements, and report on practice group participation in learning programs

IT End User Services Team Member
• Provide end-user support as needed in response to Service Desk incidents
• Assist end users with hardware or other issues when the local Systems Support Specialist is not available
• Act as IT liaison to facilitate communication between the IT Department and end users
• Assist with Service Desk coverage during their weekly meeting and times of heavy call volume
• Assist with after-hours testing of systems after upgrades and patches on an occasional, rotating basis
• Assist the End User Services team to review, create and modify knowledgebase articles written by Service Desk agents
• Participate in IT Department beta programs to test new software, devices and systems
• Additional duties and special projects, as assigned by the Learning and Development Manager
